WOORI Technology Inc. was established in March 1993 with a goal in technological independence in high-class monitoring and control field. Meantime, WOORI Technolgy Inc. has developed and manufactured various products starting from distributed control system, which requires unconditional reliability, to the bugging device detection system, which requires the application of high-level signal processing technology. WOORI Technology Inc. is competing with ABB, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and other foreign world-class enterprises in the field of distributed control system, and is the only specialized company in Korea in high-technological monitoring and control system field such as nuclear power plant monitoring and control system. WOORI Technology Inc. is a high technology company with tremendous technological knowledge and know-how in high performance hardware design, real time OS including embedded Linux, Internet connection and network application, database processing, and other high fundamental related technology. Currently, there are 48 (holding master/doctor degrees) research staffs, and they have successfully managed to develop domestic products of foreign full-scale system, which even conglomerates failed in development. This was proven by two Jangyoungsil awards and three KT and NT mark awards. Currently, WOORI Technology Inc. is preparing to advance into information telecommunication equipment business with technology and patents accumulated during last 7 years. Products such as DVR, Web set-top box, and patented regional information providing system are planned to be introduced this year. In addition, WOORI Technology Inc. is developing high value-added products with other collaborating companies, and expects to become one of the recognized information telecommunication technology companies within next decade.
